Next Table

A list worth going out for

Keep the places.
Find your next table.

The restaurant you meant to try. The dish you heard about. Save them with a reason—and let Tonight help you choose from your nearby saved places.

Next Table is in beta for iPhone and iPad. This is a TestFlight invitation, not an App Store release.

Tonight chooses from nearby saved restaurants.

01 / The app

Less “where?”
More “let’s go.”

A place to keep your restaurant ideas, and a little help turning one into dinner.

Save the reason.

Add a restaurant from Apple Maps, or make an entry yourself. Keep a note, cuisine, tags, and your own price estimate together.

Give Tonight a spin.

Choose from saved places near your current device location. Hold a cuisine or price tier when you know what you’re in the mood for.

Keep the details.

Add your own rating and notes to saved restaurants, so the details that matter stay with each place.

Need a hand?

Questions, a rough edge in the beta, or an idea for Next Table—we’d like to hear it.

Next Table is developed by
Bear Technologies LLC.

Write to us.

For a bug report, it helps to include:

  • Your device model and iOS or iPadOS version.
  • The Next Table version and build shown in TestFlight.
  • What you tried and what happened instead.

If you share a screenshot, remove any personal notes or other information you don’t want to send. Please don’t email passwords.

Is Next Table on the App Store?

Not yet. The link above opens the TestFlight beta. Availability is managed through TestFlight; an invitation is not a public App Store launch.

Why isn’t a saved place in Tonight?

Tonight uses your current device location and the selected radius. A saved place needs a map location to be included. Entries without one remain in Saved; you can add the restaurant from Find nearby. If location is off or has expired, follow the message in Tonight and refresh.

How do I save a restaurant?

Open Saved using the bookmark button in Tonight. Choose Find nearby to search Apple Maps, then Add and review the details before saving. You can also use Save a place to enter a restaurant yourself.

Where should I report a beta issue?

Email alex@alexspencer.net, or use the feedback option in TestFlight. We can help most quickly when you include the steps that led to the issue.

Privacy policy

Your restaurant list is yours.

Effective October 31, 2026

Your list stays on your device

Next Table is a personal restaurant list for iPhone and iPad from Bear Technologies LLC. The app has no account, developer-operated server, ads, analytics SDKs or tracking. Saved places, notes, tags, dietary notes, prices, ratings and menu links are stored in the app on your device. The app does not sync this information or send it to us. We cannot see or recover your list.

Location

With your permission, Next Table uses foreground location readings to help choose saved places near you and center nearby restaurant searches. It does not save your location or track you in the background. You can turn location off in iOS Settings and still use your saved list or search a map area manually.

Apple Maps

Apple provides maps, nearby search, place details and directions. These features send Apple the search text, map area, relevant device location when location-based search is used, and saved Apple Maps place identifiers when fetching place details. Apple handles this information under its own privacy policy. We do not operate these services or receive their search requests.

Links you open

Website and menu links, phone calls and Apple Maps actions open the relevant external app when you tap them. Those apps and websites have their own privacy practices.

Backups and deletion

Device backups to iCloud or a computer may include Next Table data, depending on your settings. You can delete a saved place and its associated data inside the app. Deleting the app removes its local data; offloading is not deletion. Copies in earlier backups remain until those backups are deleted or replaced. Apple and your device settings control backups.

Apple diagnostics and beta feedback

The app includes no developer-operated crash-reporting or analytics SDK. Depending on your Apple settings and participation in TestFlight, Apple may provide us crash reports, usage statistics and feedback you submit. We use these to fix problems and improve Next Table.

Support email

If you contact alex@alexspencer.net, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and resolve support issues. You can request deletion of your correspondence by emailing us. Please do not include passwords or unnecessary personal information.

This website

This support website has no sign-up, payment or contact form, and we have not added advertising or analytics tools. It is hosted by Shipbetter. The hosting service may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser information and requested URL, to deliver and secure the site. This website is separate from the app’s on-device restaurant list.

Children

The app does not request accounts or collect saved-list data from users, including children. Avoid sending personal information about children in support messages.

Policy updates

If our data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date. Contact Bear Technologies LLC at alex@alexspencer.net with privacy questions.
